I’m Michael Schultz, a professional photographer and your guide. As a lifelong Alaskan, the northern lights have been the backdrop to my entire life. I grew up watching them dance across the sky from my own backyard—no crowds, no light pollution, just the raw, silent magic of the aurora.
This is the experience I was inspired to share. I founded Face The Outdoors to offer visitors a genuine connection to Alaska’s wilderness. My deep knowledge of the local terrain, weather patterns, and aurora behavior is your advantage in witnessing this incredible natural wonder.
